Dermott Lennon and Loughview Lou Lou won the 1.50 at CSIO Gijon, 1st September 2011.
Where it all began!
Judith’s grandfather and father, heavily involved with horses, purchased a young mare from the late Brain McNabb over fifty years ago. This mare was kept for breeding purposes and produced eleven foals. Over the years there has been many Loughview horses which reached notable national and international success. All of whom have been related to McNabb’s mare.
Grade A Commander Henry formerly Loughview Boy, bred by John Stewart, owned by Raymond Fenwick and ridden by Michael Whitaker achieved International Stardom.
Loughview Comet winning Holker Hall with Jeremy Spring
Loughview Comet starting out his career a little differently with Judith - trying out her side saddle at home.
Comet’s dam, Loughview Jane was shown extensively by Judith’s father and mother and was the UNICO All Ireland Brood Mare champion (whilst Comet was at her foot) and Reserve Overall Champion RDS (whilst Susie was at her foot)
Comet’s full sister Loughview Susie was kept for breeding.
Some of Loughview Susie’s progeny are Holly, Anna and Lucy to name a few.
Lucy is the current brood mare and so far has not disappointed.
