Judith is awarded the Horse Sport Ireland Breeders Award 2008 for breeding the winner of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 6/7yr old League Loughview Lou-Lou. The award was presented at the IHB AGM in Abbeyleix Manor Hotel.

Loughview Diamond Clover, Loughview Lou-Lou and Caroline Dinning’s Rathcarraig Mist (formely Loughview Anna) are awarded the Northern Ireland Horse Board Premier Brood Mare status after the inspection at Danescroft Equestrian Centre.

Having enjoyed a super season, Lou-Lou got an invite to compete at the Northern Ireland International Horse Show 2008. Conor Drain gave Loughview Lou-Lou another super ride showing exactly why he is one of Ireland’s most talented young riders. The duo, not only won the 1* International Stenaline Invitational Speed Stakes on Saturday but also the following day won 1* International Stenaline Invitational Championship, NIIHS 2008, Odyssey. What a sensational way to finish a fantastic 2008 season!! Well done Conor and Lou-Lou!! Not forgetting all those behind the scenes both in team Drain and Sossick.



18-21/09/08

After travelling safely, Conor Drain and Loughview Lou-Lou competed in the 6yr old class at the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses 2008, Zangersheide, Lanaken, Belgium. Well over 200 entries of the world’s best 6yr olds, they started with a fast faultless round in day 1 finishing 20th. This, combined with day 2’s result secured the duo a hotly contested place in Sunday’s Grand final. Competing against the top 40, Lou-Lou was jumping out of her skin in a very technical 1.35m course but was very unlucky to rub a pole finishing a fantastic 16th

Still celebrating the success of yesterday, Conor and Lou-Lou continued their unbeatable form in Barnadown by finishing clear on a score of zero to be crowned the 6yr old Irish National Champion 2008.

After some very heavy rain and flooded stables, Conor and Lou-Lou took 2nd in the Grand Final of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 6/7yr old at the National Championships, Barnadown, which secured the duo a well earned win the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 6/7yr old League finishing an amazing eight points ahead of the rest of the field.



12+15/08/08

At a wet Millstreet, Conor Drain and Loughview Lou-Lou where back on sensational form, finishing 1st in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping; Series 2008; 6/7yr old qualifier and also 1st in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008; 6/7yr old final. With a hat trick of final wins plus a red rosette at RDS, an invitation was received to represent Ireland at the prestigious FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses 2008, Zangersheide, Lanaken, Belgium

Loughview Captains Boy qualified for final of the Lee Strand 3yr loose jumping, Millstreet 2008.

Conor and Lou-Lou jumped an amazing 1st round in the 6yr old final in the main arena at RDS however luck was not on their side at the final fence in the jump off finishing 7th.

Conor Drain and Lou-Lou are on amazing form and secures another win – and this time it’s the 6yr old class at the RDS in Simmonscourt

Loughview Captains Boy also at RDS was in the rosettes, 9th 3yr old future performance horse class

Loughview Diamond Clover finished in 4th out of 92 at Tattersalls. Loughview Lou-Lou  and Conor Drain on the other hand, opting for a safe 3rd in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping; Series 2008; 6/7yr old qualifier and then the duo pushed the standard to a new high in the final producing a fantastic win

Loughview Lou-Lou and Conor Drain were on super form in Ballina where they finished 3rd in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping; Series 2008; 6/7yr old qualifier and a lightening round in the final secured 1st place and some valuable points in Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping; Series 2008; 6/7yr old final


4&5/07/08

Loughview Lou-Lou and Conor Drain qualified in 2nd Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 6/7yr old qualifier Omagh and the following day finished 3rd Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 6/7yr old final Omagh putting some points on the league board.

Meanwhile Loughview Diamond Clover with Conor Drain on board finished 2nd in 1.20m

Loughview Lou-Lou and Conor Drain qualified for 5th in Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 6/7yr old qualifier at Galway and had an unlucky pole down in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 6/7yr old final Galway finishing 7

Killossery Kandida and her Limerick foal both placed 2nd in the brood mare and foal class at RUAS. Both Lou-Lou and Diamond Clover are unfortunate to suffer the 4 fault bug!

Loughview Diamond Clover on great form finishing 8th out of 98 in 1.20m at Louth. Whilst Loughview Lou-Lou and Conor Drain secured a qualifying place in the Louth  Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 6/7yr old final in fantastic style finishing 1st!!
